If brands had a crystal ball to see into the future, an article by Digiday’s Jack Marshall suggests many of those brands might be a little lonely in a world where tablets and smartphones become consumers’ first and last brand experience at home, on the go or even in-store.

Our CEO, Oren Michels, has been spending some time recently with Forbes to discuss how APIs are fueling the app ecosystem.

Radian6 unveiled an interesting infographic today on the Valentine's Day conversations on social media.
Great stats on Valentine's Day plans (most folks were staying in), gifts (Top 3 were cards, flowers and chocolates -- the classic trio!) and the top most romantic cities (Top 2 were NYC and Chicago...).

API Hackday Austin brings developers together for an all-day coding fest focused on building apps and mashups with APIs. Developers of all experience levels can share ideas, collaborate on existing projects, start new ventures, and find out about great tools and new APIs to play with.

Within the past three years, the grown of APIs has more than tripled -- with Mashery growing along with it.
"We have seen this before," said John Musser from Programmable Web. "In 1995, we asked 'Do we need a website?' In 2000, we said 'Of course we have a website.' Now it's 'Do we have an API?' Soon it will be expected.
